Indianapolis Used Hyundai Dealers Offer Reliable Pre-Owned Crossover Options

A rising segment in the auto industry, crossovers came into existence through automakers with no real experience in SUV production. Fortunately for these manufacturers, the market for SUVs isn't dead yet. But crossovers solved a simple problem that had plagued drivers across other segments, many of which simply assume that SUVs drive like boats, hogging the road and offering dismal performance and reaction time. With the dawn of the crossover came huge market potential for companies with no truck-building experience, and a lot of notable automakers expanded into the segment to sweep up some of America's SUV enthusiasts.

Most of these new crossovers are based off of sedan platforms that took on a lot of features and style usually associated with SUVs. Some of the most important changes that made their way to the new line of crossovers were added space in both the cargo area and the cabin - making it simpler for sedan fans to enjoy the benefits usually associated with family cars. Increased ground clearance and additional off-road functionality were two more added benefits for consumers that wanted more out of their sedans but couldn't justify purchasing an SUV. Some of the best crossovers available on the market can be test-driven and bought at your Indianapolis Hyundai cars dealership.

When 2000 hit, Indianapolis Hyundai cars dealers began to join the crossover revolution in order to stay competitive on the market, running with the likes of Toyota, Nissan and Mazda. Using the Sonata mid-size sedan as its inspiration, Hyundai took the Sonata's chassis to formulate the wheelbase for the Hyundai Santa Fe, an extraordinarily popular crossover that Indianapolis used Hyundai dealers can still barely keep in stock. The success of the Santa Fe led Hyundai to experiment with other, larger types of crossovers. Another favorite at your Indianapolis used car dealer, the Hyundai Veracruz - a stylish foreshadowing of the luxury segment Hyundai would soon work to break into.

Indianapolis used Hyundai dealers have many models of both the Santa Fe and the Veracruz - but one of the more exceptional years for both of these models was 2007. The 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe features either a 2.7-liter V6 that pumps out 185 horsepower and 183 pound-feet of torque or a 3.3-liter V6 that puts out 242 horsepower. Another big change made to the vehicle that year was the creation of a much more spacious interior, which benefits from a third row that is best for seating smaller children - a great update if you plan on driving your family around.

The 2007 Hyundai Veracruz leverages a 3.8-liter V6 engine that puts out 260 horsepower and 257 pound-feet of torque. These numbers made the Veracruz one of the most powerful crossovers on the market at the time, a motivation that keeps the cars flying off of lots at your Indianapolis used car dealer. For a manufacturer that never dealt in SUVs, Hyundai has had some pretty solid success with its great crossovers. So stop on by your Hyundai dealers to check out some of the innovative vehicles they have to offer.

Would a car dealership let the warranty expire ON PURPOSE?
I have a sneaking suspicion that my Hyundai car dealership is giving me the runaround on my A/C problem on purpose, so that the warranty can quietly expire in June, to avoid a costly repair job done on my car (which would be covered on the warranty). Could this really happen? Would such a bad and dishonest business practice take place in a car dealership? My A/C had no cool air last fall, so they did a recharge of the R-41 refrigerant. Come this spring, we turn it on, very little cool-ish air comes out. So I took it for a check up .. it turns out everything is *visually* fine according to them and that the A/C is in excellent working order. So I was eager to try it as soon as I got back to pick up the car. Much to my disappointment, it is the same: a low hissing noise when the A/C is turned on to 1 or 2 and so so cool-ish air when you crank it to 3 and 4. The point I am trying to make to them is that it wasn't always like that, we used to have it pretty damn cool and comfortable at 1. Now, we have to put it at 4 to feel the slightest refreshing sensation (which is still pretty minimal). It's almost just like the regular fan air. Why can't they just sit in the same model car and give the A/C a shot to compare??? I am not making this up. They are making me feel like I am complaining for no reason. Uh. No. So I am suspecting a compressor problem. Or condensor. Or something like that. Apparently there is no visual leak. It's a 2009 model. So that's why I'm beginning to think that they know that there's a big and costly job involved that they are trying to avoid because it's under warranty. What do you think? Thank you
