Very confused about car Transmissions?
I am Purchasing a car next week. I want to get a Dodge Caliber, but most of the cars in the dealerships inventory are manual... I can't drive a manual... The other cars that are not 5 speed manual are 1 speed CVT...... So my question is, what the heck is 1 speed CVT? Please use dummy terms, I am female!! LOL

Looking for webite which will search all US car dealerships inventory?
I am looking for a web site, besides E-Bay, which will search only for the exact model and options I want in all US dealerships.
Guess the days of ordering direct from the factory are gone.
I am looking for a web site, besides E-Bay, where I can search, for example, all American dealerships for a new 2008 Ford Mustang 6 cyl, ABS, power seat, in either silver, white or orange exterior with gray interior, and I do not want to see any other cars in the search results.
Ford Motor company response was FordDirect which would be useless for my search purposes as the search engine allows only one zip code per search.

Are car dealerships legally obligated to honor their internet sale price?
I was recently shopping for a used vehicle and found a used car for a price I really liked - $8,995. This vehicle and price were advertised on the dealership inventory website. I called the dealership, confirmed the information and arranged an appointment with a salesman. When I went to inspect and test-drive the vehicle, I noticed a dealership advertisement on the car that claimed the vehicle was $13,995. When I asked about the descrepancy, I was assured that the vehicle was 14k "firm", that the internet salesprice was a "typo," and that the manager had "yelled" at the internet sales manager that morning. It is now two days later, and the internet price is still posted at $8,995. I'm a little sore about the whole experience.
I work in retail and know from my experience that when items are mis-priced or accidentally advertised at a price lower than actual, the establishment MUST honor the price. Am I victim of a bait-and-switch tactic? Is this legal?
