Green Car Dealerships
Green car dealerships sell various types of ‘green cars' or environmental friendly cars. There are 16 green car dealerships in 10 states in the United States of America. The dealers are also converting their dealerships into green areas. The main idea is to use less water, less energy and use environmental friendly processes in a place with a lot of green space.
People at first thought that it would not be possible for car dealership to go green. Then the LEED voluntary rating system came into existence. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. This has been set up by the US Green Building Council to recognize buildings that are environmental friendly in their custom, design and operations. Gensler was the first to design a car dealership to register for a LEED rating. The rating is given according to the indoor environmental quality and energy efficiency that is met by the dealership. The ratings are - Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum. This rating system provides a uniform manner of measuring a building's sustainability. Many car dealerships have followed this initiative and have gone green. There are at least 16 green dealerships in the United States.
The green car dealership follows certain architectural practices. These include having the outside of the building being made of 80% recycled aluminum, when heat is needed, it comes from oil change waste, the car wash uses recycled water, taps, lighting that conserves energy and the carpet is made of recycled windshield glass. Alternative means of transport is shown preference, by having bicycle racks and preference for parking for people who carpool. Rainwater is used and plants that do not need much water such as drought resistant plants and grass are grown. This type of green car dealership proves that it is possible for people to go green if they just put their mind to it. In the future there is a possibility that this initiative will pick up and many major companies will go green.
R&B Auto Center, located in Fontana, CA is the first Pre Owned car Dealership to go green. R&B Auto Center's has installed beautiful rockwork and Eco-Alliance Artificial Grass throughout the dealership and playground, all of this in an effort to conserve one of earths most valuable resources, water. R&B Auto Center has retrofitted most of the lighting fixtures with energy efficient lighting to conserve energy. Recycling is a way of life for all employees at R&B Auto Center. Recycling bins are placed throughout the dealership for paper, plastic and aluminum. R&B Auto Center's Service department recycles used oil, tires, and metal.

Some questions about careers and what benefits are given to them? (see below for the questions)?
Okay, the first couple of questions are regarding an Entrepreneur's career, like say if they owned a franchise restaurant...
1) What kind of benefits do Entrepreneurs get? Like, do they get life insurance?
2) If you're an entrepreneur and you take out a loan to buy a franchise, how much money would the loan have to be, say if you had a down payment of like $45 000?
The next question is about a career as a mechanic that repairs vehicles...
1) Would a mechanic working in a typical garage get benefits? What if they work for a car dealership? If they work for a major corporation (say Manitoba Hydro or something like that)?
2) What kind of vacation time would a mechanic get? Would they be able to take time off if someone in their family gets sick?
This is for a school reality check assignment. If you could answer any of the questions above, it would be greatly appreciated. :)

Security Guard Officer Application Question?
You are on foot patrolling a car dealership. You notice a man wearing a white shirt, blue jeans & black tennis shoes. He has light brown hair and a tattoo on his arm. As you approach him, you notice a pile of broken glass next to the car he is closest to.
They want a 2 paragraph response and I think that having not witnessed any crime in progress, and faced with circumstantial evidence, the most that can be expected of me would be to gather as much info as possible, including the suspect's name etc and report it to my supervisor, the car dealership manager and to local police.
What do you think???
Thanks for the info and responses!
I think its best for any unarmed guard to simply observe & report, provide basic first aid (when trained) and leave the criminal investigation and arrests to the police.

Buying a new car, do you have to pay for miles used if you dont want the car?
do I have to pay a car dealership for driving a car 100 miles?
I went to a car dealership today. The salesman was pushy from the beginning but "insisted" he was honest and a great guy. This may or may not be so; the car I was looking at was a Chrysler 200C LX, the lowest cost 200C.
I found out the car is NOT worth 25000; the car, with all features, is only worth 19000. I also found my own financing out of office for only 4.1% interest (700 credit and climbing :) ). This means I no longer have ANY Ties with this dealership, unless I sign the buyers agreement tomorrow. The ONLY thing I bought today was insurance and the ONLY thing I signed was the authorization to check the credit. I have the check for 25000 coming in the mail from the finance company, this dealer is anticipating me buying THIS car but now, after driving the car 100 miles with dealer tags, I have discovered I am paying for the LIMITED version, which is MUCH MUCH better, but only getting the cheap version.
So, I have the kelly blue book of the exact 2012 Chrysler 200 LIMITED, not LX, that I want AND the chrysler website printout showing the MSRP of the LX, without ANY INCENTIVES, being 7000 lower than what they're trying to get out of me for it.
I have NOT signed any buyer contract; i havent even signed the financing contract yet but I am going to, ONLY AFTER avoiding being ripped and updating the finance company on which car they're going to be sent a title for. (They would rather me get a better valued one in case they had to repo it, which they wont)
I started by trying their in house financing for 25,000 (Loaded LX); they rejected it and said they werent able to verify my Self-employment. I was also being quoted for a gross, yuck, 7.0% or more interest. I had tunnel vision cause of this guy; i saw what HE wanted me to see BUT HE MESSED UP - He let me drive the car home and research it with dealer tags, hoping I would be blinded by the new car feel.
Tomorrow, before finalizing anything, I hope to get them to give me the chrysler 200 limited for the chrysler 200 limited price, not a LX for a LIMITED price.
do I have to pay them anything for driving the current car for 100 miles; I have NOT signed any buyer contract; i havent even signed the financing contract yet but I am going to sign that one, ONLY AFTER avoiding being ripped off and updating the finance company on which car they're going to be sent a title to.
He did TRY to push me into signing the "acceptance of delivery" which I refused. he kept shooting back at me with "ok, ok, I see you have some trust issues". Now you guys see why :)
Dont get me wrong, the car thats in my driveway is a good car BUT, if I keep any car, Im only going to do if they charge within 1000 of the AVERAGE of BOTH the KELLY BB and the Chrysler.com MSRP; I'm only going to sign for the car I paid for.
Im scared this "nice" guy isnt going to be so nice tomorrow when he finds out he should have got me to sign yesterday instead of giving me time to be educated more, letting me do some homework.
I feel bad like I've wasted his time though; Im going to give him a chance to still earn commission by letting him order/get the car I want and buying it through him still but he may drive me off the lot instead of my car :)
